Hampshire is the largest county in South East England and is also home to the birthplace of the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Airforce.

The county boasts a number of tourist attractions including two national parks, many seaside resorts, and a number of historic towns and villages. It is home to two of England’s most famous writers, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens, as well as two of Europe’s largest sea ports, Portsmouth and Southampton.

The region has been continuously inhabited for over 12,000 years BC, since the last ice age, its name was even given to the US State ‘New Hampshire’. The county town of Winchester is one of Britain’s most historic city and was once capital of England until the Norman invasion, there are also a number of pretty market towns.
